1829
Company foundation
More than 180 years ago the coppersmith Friedrich Bührer founded the company with the name of "Bührer". Various household goods and equipment for ships' galleys are manufactured from copper in Ludwigsburg.

1916
Move to the present site
The family company grew in size in the First World War and moved from the Myliustrasse to the present company site in the Eisenbahnstrasse.

1927
Take-over of the company by the Schiemann family
During the Weimar Republic the Schiemann family took the company over and extended the product range to household machines.

1929
"Bührer" becomes "Hünersdorff-Bührer"
Thanks to the successful development of business despite of the economic crisis, the company could take over its largest competitor - the R. von Hünersdorff company.

1940
Start of plastics processing
Hünersdorff-Bührer made a virtue of the scarcity of copper and begins as one of the first companies in Germany with processing thermoplastics from indigenous raw materials. The foundation stone for successful company development in the plastics sector is laid.

1950
Shift from copper to plastic products
Throughout the years of recovery in Germany, Hünersdorff-Bührer increasingly concentrates its efforts on the manufacture of plastic products. Technical consumer goods such as petrol cans, measuring vessels, storage bins and assortment boxes are added to the product line.

1969
Foundation of the hünersdorff GmbH
The limited liability company is founded under the new name of "hünersdorff" and continues to be managed by the Schiemann family.

1970-1990
Successful development to a partner for the specialist trade and DIY stores
The company expands its assortment and establishes itself as a competent supplier for the specialist trade and DIY stores.

1995
Completion of the new central warehouse
The central warehouse introduces a new era in the company history. More than 1200 different articles can be stored on around 6000 pallet bays on an area of around 4000 square metres. Due to the connection via dedicated line with the company headquarters, delivery in less than 48 hours is guaranteed.

2003
European market leader in the fuel can sector
hünersdorff becomes number 1 in Europe with different versions of fuel cans.

2004
Start of the systematic renewal of the plant
Since 2004 hünersdorff has invested in 14 new blow and injection moulding machines.

2006
Energy saving already in production
hünersdorff puts the self-developed ONI heat recovery plant into operation

2007
Sales over the web
The first hünersdorff webshop goes online in cooperation with Wachter.

2009
Plastic products at the highest level
hünersdorff is today considered to be a specialist in plastics processing. Plastic articles for every need are manufactured with around 40 injection and blow moulding machines.
